National Pink Day, Lovely Trinket Box

I love Lindsay the Frugal Crafter, and when she made a gift bag to commemorate National Pink Day, June 23rd, I had to make something as well. Pink will always signify breast cancer awareness for me as I’ve had friends with it as well as my mother-in-law. I made the box with Blushing Bride card stock from Stampin’ Up and cut the pieces into 8 1/4″ square for the top and 8 1/8″ square for the bottom. I scored each piece at 2″ on all four sides then cut little v’s on the four sides at the vertical score lines up to the horizontal score lines. I used Art Glitter Glue from Art Institute for my glue and glued the underneath of the outside flaps I created by making the cuts. I folded those inside and held them until the glue set. I cut paper 1/8″ smaller on the top and sides to line the bottom and outside of the box. I added embellishments and ribbon from my stash.
