I’m really excited that we might have found a solution to the audio problems we have whenever we switch to a new video. I’m so frustrated that you can almost never hear the opening to my videos and it is literally making me lose my mind. Every time I listen to the opening line, I cross my fingers that Rich got the audio to link. More often than not, the audio doesn’t sync for at least a couple of seconds and that’s unacceptable.
So at lunch today, Rich and I were talking about the problem and trying to decide just what the cause could be. I thought we had tried everything. I started asking about how over YouTubers are able to fade in and out from one sequence to another and Rich said, “Sure, we can do that.” I asked if that might solve our audio problem and he thought there was a chance that it could. So in the next few videos, he’s going to give it a shot. I really hope he finds a solution to it because the software company couldn’t help him and their tech support people couldn’t, so it’s up to us.
My goal for the next few months is this.
- Stay in frame 100% of the time.
- Make sure the audio and video sync
- Find good transitions from the end of one segments to the next. Right now we have the same problem with the audio cutting out and it is horrible for everyone, especially the viewer.
You would think I could make my timeline a lot shorter, but frankly, we have been working on this audio mess for a long time and I’m not sure what it’s going to take to fix it.
