I spent most of today researching new card techniques.  I’d like to make some new fun fold cards and wanted to play with some ideas for them.  I asked Rich to put up the wedding shower card video, so he’s working on it now.  I think it will probably go live tomorrow morning.

The rest of the day we spent trying to calm Honey down, as construction next door is getting louder and more intense.  They are putting in the foundation and it’s seriously noisy.  Poor Honey, can’t let anyone sleep when she’s scared, so both Rich and I spend our early mornings trying to calm her.  Unfortunately, the noise went on most of the day, so she was really in bad shape.  I think I’m going to look into buying her a thunder shirt, that’s supposed to calm her.  I’m ready to try just about anything at this point.

We have nothing going on tomorrow, so I’m going to make a couple of fun fold cards, and maybe try a few different folds to see which ones I like best.  It’s going to be a fun fold kind of day.

  1. I hate to suggest medication, but have you thought about Prozac? A cousin on my dad’s side has a German Shepherd who is on it and it’s made a huge difference for the poor dog. He’s so much calmer. It was her vet’s suggestion to try it. I guess next week will be a perfect time to try the homemade thunder shirt. Good luck. Honey’s so lucky that she was adopted by two such caring people who are willing to do just about anything to calm her down. Much love to you.

  2. Our vet wants us to try everything else first, before meds. We did medicate Bella and Aggie on our way to NC, but Aggie was so out of it, she was almost in a coma, and Bella acted like she didn’t take anything, both on the same dose. With Aggie so much bigger, we didn’t think it would do anything for her, and Rich thought I gave her two pills, as she had to be lifted into the car….
If the thunder shirt doesn’t work, (and I think we’ll basically leave it on her), then we’re going to have to go to the big drugs…She’s so pathetic to watch.
